Jason Yang founded GSME Wealth Management with a simple yet powerful mission: to be a strategic wealth partner for globally minded individuals, families, and institutions. With over 25 years of experience in global capital markets—and having managed portfolios totaling more than $30 billion—Jason brings a rare combination of institutional expertise, entrepreneurial drive, and deep cultural fluency.
Before launching GSME, Jason held senior leadership roles at top global financial institutions, including serving as Acting CEO and a member of the Management Committee in the New York and London offices of a major international bank. In these capacities, he advised family offices, corporations, and financial institutions on complex cross-border transactions, U.S. capital markets trading, investment, and risk management. Over time, Jason recognized critical gaps in traditional wealth advisory—particularly for immigrant families, global professionals and expats, and international entrepreneurs. He founded GSME to deliver truly independent, fiduciary-based financial planning and investment management tailored to these underserved clients.
Jason holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is well-regarded for his ability to translate academic financial theory into practical, real-world strategies that deliver results. Jason holds multiple U.S. FINRA and NASAA credentials, reflecting a broad base of securities knowledge and regulatory expertise. He is currently registered with active Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law) licenses. In addition, he has successfully completed and maintains eligibility for Series 24 (General Securities Principal) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law), as well as the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam. These credentials demonstrate his commitment to the highest professional standards in investment advisory and regulatory compliance.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jason is a devoted father, a curious thinker, and a passionate advocate for financial literacy and cross-cultural understanding. His long-term vision is not only to build a leading global advisory firm—but also to mentor the generations of global citizens and financial leaders.
